WOODBINE, Ga. (AP) -- A Camden County deputy sheriff is under scrutiny for painting his face black and dressing as a prisoner for a Halloween party.<br />

WTLV-TV ( http://fcnews.tv/HXgeEX ) reports that Deputy Sheriff Chad Palmer attended a party in blackface makeup. A picture shows him in a black-and-white prison uniform. Palmer would not discuss the incident with the TV station. He couldn't be reached for comment Wednesday.<br />

A spokesman for Sheriff Jim Proctor says the costume was "unacceptable." Proctor is scheduled to discuss the incident during a news conference Wednesday.
