Forsyth Co. employee honored by state Urban Forest Council

CUMMING - The Georgia Urban Forest Council (GUFC) recently honored a Forsyth County employee during theits awards luncheon in Columbus. <br /> <br /> Nancy Lovingood, development services manager with the Forsyth County Department of Planning and Community Development, was awarded the 2013 Outstanding Individual Achievement Grant Award for her "outstanding work as steward, teacher, and advocate for a healthy urban forest."<br /> <br /> Lovingood was selected from nominees around the state for this annual Excellence in Urban Forestry Award. This awards program rewards individuals and organizations for excellent work in protecting and enhancing our community forests.<br /> <br /> As development services manager for the Forsyth County Department of Planning and Community Development, Lovingood is responsible for management and coordination between the permit, inspection and current planning divisions.<br />
