ATHENS -- Dalton Snyder and brother Dustin Snyder finished first and second at the Area 2 Private cross country qualifier Thursday at Athens Christian to lead Lakeview Academy to a second place finish.
Lewis Brooks finished fourth for the Lions, who finished tied in points (55) with host Athens Christian.
The tiebreaker came down to the sixth runner putting Athens Christian in first place.
The Lakeview girls finished in seventh place overall lead by Mary Kaitlin Hocker with a time of 24:46 finishing in 36th overall.
In the Area 4 public qualifier, Commerce finished second and Towns County was fourth.
Nahum Mendoza and Dominik Lageder paced Commerce finishing third and fourth, respectively. Tyler Grimsley paced Towns County with a ninth-place finish.
