"After meeting with Michele Ward and seeing the artists she represents, I felt a strong urgency that this work needs to be seen by our students," White said. "The work is outstanding not only in its execution and content, but these techniques are Old World practices that have to be painstakingly sought out and learned from other artists. The purpose of this show is to reinforce that this kind of work is still being done. In the vast realm of the art world today, I find it reassuring that true realism is still very much alive. It is important that our students see this work, because the Classics are often disregarded while fads are embraced."<br />
