Gainesville native is finalist for free around the world trip

Jauntaroo, a Vacation Matchmaker website, has selected a Gainesville native, Suzie Holmes, as one of its top 50 from over 2,900 candidates for the Chief World Explorer job. <br />

The position features an all expenses paid trip around the world, plus $100,000. The winning candidate will be responsible for volunteering at each destination (voluntourism) and sharing his or her adventures on social media. <br />
<br />
Suzie Holmes grew up in Gainesville and went on to complete a B.S. Management degree at the Georgia Tech? In addition to her love of travel, her social media networking has helped. Jauntaroo refers to their registered members as "jauntaristas" and Holmes was quick to brand all her online accounts as Jauntarista to support her application.<br />

Her first video for the application explained why she was the ideal candidate for the job. Holmes has been to over 15 countries, however, in her own words, "while there's many places I've been, there's many more I'd like to see." The Chief World Explorer will visit up to 50 destinations next year, including Atlanta. <br />

Two weeks ago, Jauntaroo requested Holmes make a second video touring a local town For her second video, she partnered with the Dahlonega COnvention and Visitors Bureau and its public relations agency, Pineapple PR, to make a travel video highlighting Dahlonega activities. Holmes is the only applicant from Georgia to make it to the top 50. <br />
