GAINESVILLE - Leslie McClure, a commercial account executive with Turner Wood & Smith Insurance, has been named the winner of the Insurance Professional of the Year Award by the Georgia Council of Insurance Professionals. The award recognizes McClure's career accomplishments and service to the insurance industry. Earlier this year she received a similar award from the Insurance Professionals of Gainesville.
"Leslie McClure joined Turner Wood & Smith Insurance 10-years ago, and has worked diligently to further her career and her profession," notes Joe Wood, Jr., President & CEO of the company. "She has earned six professional certifications, indicative of her desire to continue to find ways to better serve her clients. We're proud of Leslie and this most recent accomplishment."
McClure joined Turner Wood & Smith Insurance in 2003 and serves as a board member of the Insurance Professionals of Gainesville. She volunteers with the Medical Center Auxiliary of the Northeast Georgia Medical Center where she often volunteers in the Window Shop. Her professional designations include the Accredited Advisor in Insurance (AAI), Certified Professional Insurance Woman (CPIW), Professional in Insurance Account Management (PIAM), Certified Leadership Professional (CLP), Commercial Lines Coverage Specialist (CLCS), and Certified Professional in Insurance (CPII).
