Mancuso leads Union County to 8-AA win

BLAIRSVILLE -- Union County scored 28 fourth quarter points to rally for a 46-26 win over Oglethorpe County Friday night in Region 8-AA.

The Panthers (3-2, 1-1 Region 8-AA) led 18-13 at halftime but would fall behind 26-18 after the Patriots (0-5, 0-2) scored 13 points in the third quarter.

Sophomore quarterback Joseph Mancuso had a huge game for Union County going 21-of-37 with 296 yards passing with three TDs. Mancuso's favorite target was Jacob Rogers, who had 11 catches for 194 yards and two touchdowns (56, 33 yards).

Robert Prunier had eight catches for 72 yards and Brett Dietz had one catch for 21 yards and one touchdown.

Chase Burnett finished with two rushing touchdowns for Union County.
