GAINESVILLE -- Jordan Degraff poured in 29 points, including nine 3-pointers, to lead the Chestatee boys to an 87-81 win over Stephens County Tuesday in a key Region 8-AAAA game for both teams.
The War Eagles (11-11, 5-1 Region 8-AAAA) avenged a 75-50 loss to the Indians earlier in the season. They have now won eight of their last nine games and will travel to Johnson on Friday in a possible battle for first place in the region.
Keelan Passmore added 20 points and Aaron Manders had seven points and nine rebounds for Chestatee.
The War Eagles Chestatee overcame a poor night at the free throw line (22-38) to seal the win.
