GAINESVILLE -- The Chestatee girls volleyball team ran its streak to three after taking a pair of Region 8-AAAA wins Tuesday at the Chestatee gym.
The Lady War Eagles opened with a 25-11, 25-14 win over Madison County and then rallied from a set down to beat Lanier 18-25, 25-21, 25-17 in the nightcap.
Melanie Smith led Chestatee (7-8, 2-0) with 16 kills and five aces. Madison Dunn added 21 assists and Tyler Bennett had 12 assists and eight kills for the Lady War Eagles.
Chestatee is off for more than a week before traveling to Athens Christian next Thursday.
