WATKINSVILLE -- Gainesville split a pair of non-region matches Tuesday in girls volleyball action.
The Lady Elephants (7-3) won a tough three-set match over Rockdale County 25-12, 11-25, 25-20 but then fell to host Oconee County 25-13, 25-20 in the second match.
Kaylin Walden paced the Lady Elephants 64 assists in the two matches. Stasha Hopkins had six kills for Gainesville.
The Lady Elephants next will travel to Flowery Branch in a tri-match on Thursday.
