WALNUT GROVE -- Johnson split a pair of matches Tuesday in girls volleyball action.
The Lady Knights whipped Rabun County 25-21 and 25-18 in a straight-set win in the first match but then fell to Walnut Grove 25-23 and 25-15 in the second match.
The loss to Walnut Grove was the first Region 8-AAAA loss for Johnson (7-4, 0-1 in region).
Kelly Chance had a solid night with eight aces and 20 assists in the two matches for Johnson. LeJavian Ratliff had eight kills and four digs and Karis Sloan added seven kills. Savannah Turk had seven kills for the Lady Knights.
Johnson is back in action on Thursday against Duluth and East Hall.
