Softball: Errors cost Jefferson in loss

JEFFERSON -- Errors plagued Jefferson in a 7-4 loss to Effingham Friday in the Mill Creek softball tournament.

The Lady Dragons had five errors that led to five unearned runs. Savannah Snapp was the tuogh-luck loser for Jefferson and gave up 11 hits but just two earned runs.

Emily Dufty and Cason Anderson had two hits apiece for the Lady Dragons. Lindsey Miles, Ashley Boyd, Jordan Phillips, Meagan Faulkner, Morgan McKinney, and Emily Holman each had one hit for Jefferson. Dufty, Miles, and Faulkner had one RBI each.

Effingham's Megan Hayes went the distance allowing three earned runs and nine hits in earning the win for the Lady Rebels. Brianna Jung had two hits and four RBI to pace the Effingham offense.
