GAINESVILLE -- Rain interrupted play at the 11th annual Lanier Point Tournament Friday.
Late showers forced the third set of games on the opening day of the two-day tournament to be rescheduled until 8 a.m. Saturday morning at the Lanier Point Softball Complex.
As a result, games originally scheduled for Saturday will now begin 90 mminutes later. The 8 a.m. games are now scheduled to begin at 9:30 with bracket play now set to begin at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m.
The finals are tentatively set to start at 9:30 p.m.
All but one team - West Hall - played at least one game before play was suspended. West Hall will now have to play six games on Saturday while most of the other teams will only have five games left to play.
