Gwinnett Co. student dropped off at wrong bus stop

SUGAR HILL - A Gwinnett County father said his 5-year-old son, who suffers from Autism, got off at the wrong bus stop after the first day of school this week.

Raja Antone told Channel 2 News that his son's teacher at Sugar Hill Elementary put the wrong ID tag on him that indicates his bus stop.

He said luckily, two teenagers found 5-year-old Harrison wandering around their apartment complex Monday afternoon, found his mother's phone number and called her to let her know that they'd keep her son safe until she arrived.

Gwinnett County School officials said from now on, Harrison will have a buddy that goes to the same day care ride the bus with him. They said he will also sit right behind the bus driver.
