ATLANTA -- Georgia Tech coach Paul Johnson says his players' enthusiasm is "OK" after seeing the team practice in full pads for the first time this preseason.
Georgia Tech's first session in full pads on Tuesday set up the team's first day of two-a-day practices on Wednesday.
Johnson says some of his players are moving slower in practice because they are still trying to learn. He says his more experienced players "are playing pretty hard."
Georgia Tech opens its season on Sept. 3 at Virginia Tech.
