VALDOSTA -- Florida State cornerback Greg Reid was arrested and charged with marijuana possession after a traffic stop in south Georgia.
The 21-year-old Reid was arrested by a Georgia State Patrol trooper on Tuesday night in Lowndes County. He was also charged with driving with a suspended license.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright says the trooper stopped Reid's 2000 Mercury Grand Marquis for window tint and seat belt violations. Wright says the trooper searched the vehicle and suspected a marijuana joint was in the cup holder.
Reid was released from the Lowndes County Jail on Wednesday.
Last year, Reid was arrested on charges of resisting arrest and perjury charges. Prosecutors eventually dropped the charges against Reid.
Reid, a return specialist, had two interceptions and 32 tackles last season.
