Deadline for new GHCC program extended

GAINESVILLE - The Greater Hall Chamber of Commerce and Brenau University's Center for Lifetime Study introduced a new leadership program, The Wisdom Project, in May. The Senior Leadership initiative is one of the Greater Hall Chamber's VISION 2030's "15 Big Ideas" and seeks to recruit and prepare citizens age 50+ to share their wisdom, experiences, and talents in creative ways through action and advocacy on behalf of Hall County.

"We have had great interest from the community in The Wisdom Project," says Kathy Amos, director of Brenau's Center for Lifetime Study, which is administering the program in partnership with the Greater Hall Chamber. "We encourage those interested in the program to submit their application as soon as possible for participation in the fall session."

The deadline for submitting applications has been extended to July 13.

Melissa Tymchuck, Northeast Georgia Health System, and Bill Sanders, Jackson EMC, co-chair The Wisdom Project. Program applications are available on the VISION 2030 website - www.vision2030.org. Participants are expected to attend seven sessions. The program begins on August 24 and meets the second and fourth Fridays through November 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
