Gainesville tax bills going out

GAINESVILLE - The first of the split billing for City of Gainesville taxes will go out Monday and will be due September 4.

City tax coordinator Dee Dee Stephens said there are several ways to pay your bill.

"We are pleased to be able to make it more convenient for citizens to pay their taxes," Stephens said. "On-line payments can be made by going to www.gainesville.org then clicking on the "Payments" tab at the top."

Stephens added that taxes may also be paid in person at 300 Henry Ward Way, first floor Joint Administration Building or mailed to P. O. Box 2496, Gainesville, 30503.

The city is mailing out 7,050 bills for taxes totaling $9.4 million.
