Benton receives Aaron Scholarship from NGCF

GAINESVILLE - Flowery Branch High School graduate Rebekah Benton is the 2012 recipient of the Tommy Aaron/Charlie Aaron Foundation Scholarship administered by the North Georgia Community Foundation.

Benton will receive $2,500 from the Tommy Aaron/Charlie Aaron Scholarship Foundation, which was established to provide scholarship aid to deserving and needy graduating high school seniors from Hall County and Gainesville public schools. Benton plans to attend the University of Georgia.

Tommy Aaron, the 1973 Masters Champion and Gainesville native, created the scholarship fund in 2006 in tribute to his father, Charlie, a longtime golf professional.
