ATLANTA - First-time claims for unemployment insurance in Georgia are down again.
The state Labor Department reports that claims decreased in May by 14.7 percent, compared to a year earlier. Warner Robins led the way with a 48 percent decline. Of all the metropolitan areas in Georgia, only Columbus showed an increase, 13.6 percent.
Metro Gainesville recorded a decrease of 5.9 percent; Athens, 13.1; and Atlanta 11.7.
