New Jackson EMC website aims to make managing energy use easier

JEFFERSON - Just in time for summer, Jackson EMC is introducing a new website designed to make managing energy use easier for members.

Jackson EMC officials say it features a new design with an emphasis on customer self-service, putting many of the electric co-op's energy and money saving programs right at users' fingertips.

The completely redesigned site, now live at www.jacksonemc.com, features bill pay and account management, an online home energy analyzer, energy calculators, as well as energy-saving tips and videos.

"Whether you just need quick 24/7 access to your account information, or are looking for ways to lower your bill or improve the comfort of your home, our new website has something to offer," said Roy Stowe, V.P., Marketing / Member Relations. "We've redesigned the site with our members in mind and hope that our new site will help people take better control of how they use energy at their home or business," he said.

Members can use the online account area by clicking on "My Account" on the homepage to access current and past billing history, as well as other account management tools, like outage and street light outage reporting, mailing preferences, updating contact information and more. Now through October 22, members who sign up for paperless billing online will be automatically entered into a weekly drawing for two $100 gift cards, as well as a grand prize drawing for $2,500 worth of ENERGY STAR appliances.

With children across Northeast Georgia out of school for the summer, the site also features activities and games for children. Visit www.jacksonemc.com/kids for online games, energy conservation tips and children's safety information.
