The 16th-ranked Brenau University softball team received on Tuesday an at-large bid to the NAIA tournament from May 17-23 in Gulf Shores, Ala.
This will mark the Golden Tigers' (39-14) second appearance in the tournament after also competing in 2009.
The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics officially released the field of 32 teams for the 2012 tournament at the Gulf Shores Sportsplex Tuesday.
Game schedules will be posted Wednesday.
Brenau coach Devon Thomas -- who was sidelined with illness toward the end of the regular season -- has been released by doctors to travel and coach the team.
