COLUMBUS, Ohio -- For the third time on the eight game road trip in Ohio, the Gwinnett Braves have been rained out. Rain has forced the postponement of Friday night's game between the Gwinnett Braves (18-9) and the Columbus Clippers (15-12). The game was originally scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start time at Huntington Park in Columbus, Ohio.
An official make-up date has not yet been announced. The teams meet again for a four-game series at Coolray Field in Lawrenceville from Thursday, June 14 through Sunday, June 17. Further details will be announced at gwinnettbraves.com when possible.
The G-Braves now return home to Coolray Field for a 10-day, 11-game homestand. Game one of a two-game weekend series against Charlotte begins on Saturday with a 7:05 first pitch. The Gwinnett starter will likely be right-hander Todd Redmond (2-2, 3.04), who had been scheduled to pitch Friday night in Columbus. The second place Knights are scheduled to pitch left-hander Charlie Leesman (1-3, 3.68). Listen to the broadcast on WDUN AM 550 in Gainesville, Georgia with Tony Schiavone calling the play-by-play.
