Dahlonega lawyer to run for Lumpkin judge's post

DAHLONEGA - Dahlonega attorney Andrea Conarro has announced her campaign to become the Chief Magistrate Judge for Lumpkin County.

In a press release, Conarro said she is running for the position because she wishes to serve the community in which she grew up, and because she has the best qualifications for the job. "I grew up in Lumpkin County," Conarro said. "I am a graduate of LCHS and also of North Georgia College and State University."

Conarro additionally is a 2004 graduate of Tulane Law School in New Orleans. She has studied the law and has worked in both criminal and civil law, and currently has a solo general law practice in Dahlonega. "I have the training for the position," Conarro said, "and I am ready to apply the elbow grease and will work hard to make sure my fellow Lumpkin citizens are given a fair hearing."

Conarro was recently nominated to be considered for one of the two open positions for superior court judge for the Enotah Circuit. She has withdrawn her name from consideration for that position.
