RAbbittown -- The East Hall boys soccer team advanced to its first-ever region championship game after beating East Jackson 1-0 Friday in dramatic fashion in the Region 8-AA semifinals.
The Vikings will play host to North Oconee on Tuesday in the region finals. Kick-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
Saul Lopez booted in a pass from Jason Mendoza with just three seconds left in the game to give East Hall the victory.
The win for East Hall in the semifinals assures the Vikings of their first-ever hom eplayoff game. The Class AA state playoffs begin May 3 and East Hall will play host to a team from Region 7-AA.
