9th Dist. Democrats meet Sat. to select delegates to national convention

ATLANTA - Ninth District Democrats will meet Saturday in Ellijay to select district-level delegates to this year's Democratic National Convention.

The 9th District meeting will be one of 13 conducted simultaneously in each of the state's congressional districts. Georgia Party Chairman Mike Berlon says the party has over 400 applications to serve and 72 positions to fill.

Those chosen will represent Georgia at the convention in Charlotte, N.C., in September.

The 9th District meeting will be held in the Harrison building, 180 Dalton Street (Ga. Hwy 52), Ellijay, Saturday.
