Soccer: Chestatee girls blank Cedar Shoals

GAINESVILLE -- With three starters out with injuries, two freshmen took command on offense and helped Chestatee deliver a 3-0 win over Cedar Shoals Thursday.

Freshman Sadie Foote set up her classmate, Ruby Shafer, twice in the first half with perfectly laid crosses that Shafer put away to the top of the goal. In the second period, Foote collected a deflection from a defender and sped down mid-field and to score the final goal.

Misandy Chavez recorded the shut-out with two saves. Shannon

The win was Chestatee's third straight and the Eagles improved to 6-8-0 overall.
