NGTC instructor wins top honors at state Professional Photographers Convention

CLARKESVILLE - Spring break was an opportunity for learning for eight Commercial Photography students from North Georgia Technical College as they accompanied their instructors, Jeff Gulle and Ginger Moseley, to the Georgia Professional Photographers Convention and the southeastern district print competition in Athens, Georgia.

From Delaware to Florida and Mississippi to Puerto Rico, over 200 photographers entered over 900 prints in the annual Professional Photographers of America Southeastern District Competition held March 31-April 3, 2012.

North Georgia Technical College photography instructor Jeff Gulle was named Photographer of the Year for Georgia. In addition to this honor, Jeff won the ASP State Elite Award, the Lexjet Sunset Award, two Kodak Gallery Awards, and two First Place Awards.

Students who went included Tom Curry of Hoschton, Stephanie Maley of Toccoa, Amanda Ramey of Clayton, Melissa Henderson of Clarkesville, Julia Triassi of Mansfield, Cory Aderhold of Canon, and Sharon Alicea, Rebecca Wood, Colby Moore, and Marty McClure, all of Cleveland.
