GAINESVILLE - Temperatures that are more in line with the norm for this time of year returned to north Georgia Friday, ending a string of above normal readings in most places.
In Gainesville, the hgh of 63 ended 24 days of above average readings going back to March 13.
During that time, highs of 80 or above were recorded at Lee Gilmer Memorial Airport on 12 days, topped by an 84 this past Monday.
But it appears such readings are a thing of the past for the time being. The forecast for the next few days calls for highs in the 60s and 70s and lows in the 40s and 50s.
