GAINESVILLE - The Gainesville State College Office for Diversity Initiatives and Intercultural Relations is presenting a free screening of the movie Red Tails (produced by Lucasfilm and released by 20th Century Fox).
Red Tails will be shown on Monday, April 9, from noon to 2:00 p.m. in the Continuing Education/Performing Arts Center Auditorium.
Red Tails stars Terrence Howard, Nate Parker, Tristan Wilds, Elijah Kelley, and Leslie Odom, Jr. and is directed by Anthony Hemingway. It is an account of the Tuskegee Airmen, an all-black World War II fighter pilot squad. The squadron, which was sent to North Africa and Italy to escort white bomber pilots, consisted of some of the best fighter pilots in the Air Corps. The movie is rated PG-13.
