FLOWERY BRANCH - They won't officially become candidates for this year's primary until and unless they qualify at the end of May, but all announced GOP candidates in Hall County are being invited to a forum next month sponsored by the South Hall Republican Club.
President Ed Asbridge says congressional candidates will be given a minimum of three minutes each to make their presentations and candidates for the other offices will each be afforded a minimum of two minutes.
"Of course these are just estimates," Asbridge said. "If less candidates show up, that would mean more time for each candidate present. Stand-ins will be allowed for the 9th Congressional District candidates only."
Asbridge says candidates for Congress, sheriff, county commission, tax commissioner, probate judge and State House District 103 are among those expected to attend.
The forum will be held April 17 at 6:30 at the Spout Springs Library near Flowery Branch.
