CLEVELAND -- The Piedmont College softball team earned a split with Truett-McConnell Monday night on the road, taking the first game 4-1 before falling 8-5 in the finale.
Piedmont took the season series after winning both games of a double header at home to begin the season over the Bears, including head coach Terry Martin's 300th career win.
Piedmont now stands at 9-7 overall on the season and face the fourth-ranked Emory University Friday on the road. The women won't play on the home diamond again until April 14 when taking on Wesleyan College for a pair. The Lady Lions are currently 4-0 in Great South Athletic Conference play.
