The Gainesville lacrosse team earned its first victory of the season Tuesday with a 13-4 thumping of MLK.<br />

Joseph Funk and John Wagner scored three goals each to pace the Elephants' offense. Conner Calvert, Eli Nwefo, and Daniel Van scored two gaols each for Gainesville. Donavan Moss scored one goal for the Elephants.<br />

Creighton Knight had eight saves in goal for Gainesville.<br />

The Elephants opened the game with two quick goals and led 6-2 at halftime.
