The Flowery Branch girls tennis continued its strong play with a 5-0 whitewash of Apalachee Tuesday in Region 8-AAAA action.
The three singles did not lose a game for Flowery Branch (9-1, 5-0 in region) with Anna Kate Shaw, Elizabeth Mallory, and Nicole Morris each taking 6-0, 6-0 wins.
In doubles, the No. 1 team of FB Durden Smith and Bekki Benton beat Haley Hasting and Morgan Scarboro 6-1, 6-0 and the No. 2 team of Dani Taylor and Madison Smith won 6-2, 6-2 over Dianne Honan and Amber Stroup to compete the sweep.
