GAINESVILLE -- Chestatee scored three unaswered goals after falling behind early in taking a 3-1 win over Oconee County Tuesday in boys Region 8-AAA soccer action.
The Warriors scored first in the fourth minute to take a quick lead but the War Eagles tied the game seven minutes later on a direct free-kick by Zico Rebollar. Chestatee struck again 18 minutes later when a pass from outside the edge of the Warriors' penalty box by Marco Rebollar found Christian Felix unmarked in front of the net for a 2-1 lead.
It stayed that way until the War Eagles added an insurance goal in the 53rd minute when a through ball from Edwin Villafranco found Freddy Hernandez alone on the back post for an easy goal.
Chestatee keeper Michael Herrin had four saves on the night.
Chestatee (4-3, 4-0 in region) is off for a week until resuming action next Tuesday on the road against Lumpkin County.
