Chestatee could not hold a first half lead in an eventual 6-3 loss to Oconee County Tuesday night in Region 8-AAA girls action.
The Lady War Eagles played even with Oconee County (3-2-1, 2-0-0 in region) for the first 40 minutes but gave up four consecutive second half goals.
Oconee scored in the first five minutes of the contest but Chestatee's Sadie Foote set up Alexis Rebollar with a long pass 14 minutes later to tie the game.
Chestatee took a 2-1 lead with 5:27 left in the first half as Rebollar notched her second goal on a 35 yard direct free kick. but Chestatee's defense could not hold off a late corner kick by Oconee with two minutes remaining as the game was tied 2-2 at halftime.
The Lady Warriors then took control of the game with four more unaswered goals for a 6-2 lead. Chestatee's Celia Penado set up Foote for her first career goal late in the game to make it the final score.
Chestatee (2-4-0, 1-3-0) next will travel to Rabun Gap on Friday.
