ATLANTA - A new bridge on State Route 52 in Hall County is one of the projects included in $20 million worth of state transportation contracts awarded Friday.
The cost of the bridge above Candler Creek is expected to be almost $2.2 million, according to officials with the Georgia Department of Transportation. Sunbelt Structures, Inc. of Tucker was awarded the contract.
The bridge is slated for completion in September 2013.
Georgia DOT has begun 172 new construction projects valued at more than $642 million in Fiscal Year 2012.
