MURRAYVILLE -- After a slugfest in their first meeting, both Flowery Branch and North Hall proved Thursday they also have a little pitching as well.
The Falcons, behind Andrew Laur, took a 4-3 win over North Hall to sweep the two-game season series with the Trojans. Flowery Branch won the first meeting 13-6.
Laur allowed just one hit in six innings of work to earn the win for the Falcons (3-0).
Drew Miles smacked a home run for Flowery Branch. Chase Hulsey and Logan Conley each recorded two doubles for the Falcons.
North Hall (1-3) plays host to defending Class AA state champion Buford on Friday.
Flowery Branch travels to West Forsyth on Monday.
