Elachee holds events in February

GAINESVILLE - Even in the cold of winter, Elachee Nature Science Center is hard at work.

On Thursday, February 23, Elachee continues its new Winter Lecture Series with Rusty Trump from the Georgia Hummingbord Group. Trump's topic is "Winter Hummingbirds in Georgia." Elachee began the winter series with the goal of sharing with the public knowledge in natural history, environmental policy and other areas of interest regarding the world around us.

Also, area restaurants are supporting Elachee's education efforts with "Nights Out for Nature." Green's Tavern in Flowery Branch will donate a portion of the proceeds Thursday, February 16 during the dinner hour.
