GAINESVILLE -- Lakeview Academy used a 29-4 first quarter to grab the lead and then cruised to an easy 78-36 win over Oglethorpe County Friday night in Region 8-A girls basketball action.
The Lady Lions increased their lead to 45-14 by halftime and led 67-22 heading into the fourth quarter.
Taylor Handte led Lakeview with 16 points. Katie White added 10 points and Molly Gay, Kelsey Gilbert, Mona Abraham, and Kaylee McClendon each had eight points for the Lady Lions.
