ROCK SPRINGS - Authorities say they have captured two inmates, including one from North Georgia, accused of escaping from Walker State Prison.
The Georgia Department of Corrections said 42-year-old Buell David Emberson of Gilmer County is believed to have fashioned a device that allowed him and the other inmate, 63-year-old Fred Dalton Brooks, to breach the fence at the medium security facility in Rock Springs.
Emberson was convicted of several charges, including aggravated assault and eluding police.
Brooks was convicted of armed robbery and burglary, among other charges.
Officials said both inmates were found three miles from the prison by Department of Corrections employees and local authorities.
