Girls basketball: Chestatee stumbles to losses in tournament play

ACWORTH -- The Chestatee girls basketball team dropped a 50-47 decision to Allatoona on Saturday at the Allatoona Christmas Tournament in Acworth.

Chestatee held an early lead, 15-10 after the first quarter and 26-23 at halftime, but Allatoona knotted the score heading into the fourth quarter.

Maegan Kenimer scored 17 points, while Erin Clifford added 16 points in the loss.

The Lady War Eagles also fell to River Ridge 47-34 on Friday.

Bridgette Kelly scored seven points points in the loss.
