CARNESVILLE -- Kyle Daniels connected with Ben Brissey on a 25-yard pass with 13 seconds left to lift Jackson County to a thrilling 32-29 win over Franklin County on the road Friday in Region 8-AAA action.
Daniels had a huge day passing for the Panthers (4-2, 2-0 in region) going 24-for-43 with four touchdowns. His pass to Brissey capped a wild second half that saw the lead change hands five times, including three times in the final five minutes.
Garrett Holt sealed the win for Jackson County intercepting a Franklin County (1-4, 0-2) pass on the final play.
Dustin Scott provided balance on the ground for the Panthers with 136 yards rushing and one touchdown. He also caught a touchdown pass.
Receiver Xavier Harper also had big game for Jackson County catching 10 passes for 168 yards and one touchdown.
