Armed robber steals from pizza delivery man

GAINESVILLE - Police are looking for the person who robbed a pizza delivery driver Tuesday night at Lenox Park Apartments off Athens Highway.

"The driver stated that after he had delivered a pizza...walking through the breezeway...he was robbed by a short, slim Hispanic male who pulled a gun on him and demanded money," said Gainesville Police Department spokesman Kevin Holbrook.

Holbrook said the description of the suspect was very vague, and the delivery man could not say what age the suspect might have been.

The driver was not hurt during the incident, according to Holbrook, and the suspect got away with less than $100 in cash.
