Gainesville businessman Wilson dies at 89

GAINESVILLE - The man who was the longtime owner/operator of the Burger King restaurants in the Northeast Georgia Region has died.

William L. "Bill" Wilson of Gainesville worked for approximately 25 years with Burger King Distribution. After his retirement, he became a Burger King franchisee in 1979. He and his wife Sally owned and operated 11 franchises across North Georgia.

Wilson died Thursday at Northeast Georgia Medical Center. He was 89.

Funeral arrangements are being coordinated by Memorial Park North Riverside Chapel.
