The West Hall girls volleyball team set a new school record for wins Tuesday night.
The Lady Spartans pushed their win total to 30 after beating North Hall 25-17, 25-19 in the second match of a tri-match.
The win came after they pushed Class AAA fourth-ranked Oconee County to three games before falling 20-25, 25-20, 25-17 in a close Area 8-AAA match.
Tonya Bennett paced West Hall (30-5, 7-2 in area) with 19 kills along while Kelsi Jones added 10 kills. Laykin Herford had 42 assists in the two matches, LeNiesha Kearse added 10 blocks, and Summer Schmeltz 10 digs for the Lady Spartans.
