WATKINSVILLE -- Savannah Snapp tossed a complete-game eight-hitter and allowed just two earned runs, and had a huge two-run double to help lead Jefferrson to a thrilling 6-5 win over No. 9 North Oconee Tuesday.
Snapp's double capped a five-run fifth inning to give the Lady Dragons (11-17, 8-3 in Region 8B-AA) a 6-3 lead. The Lady Titans would score two runs in the bottom of the seventh inning but Snapp stranded the tying at third to end the game.
Raegen Sandy had three hits to pace the Jefferson offense. Snapp and Paige Pate had two hits apiece for the Lady Dragons. Lindsey Miles and Jordyn Whitfield had one hit each for the Lady Dragons.
