Softball: Lady Wolves stay hot, blank Decatur

BUFORD -- Buford continued its offensive barrage of opponents of late with an 8-0 win over Decatur Tuesday in Region 6-AA action.

The Class AA fifth-ranked Lady Wolves (17-7, 2-1 in region) have averaged 8.1 runs over a four-game win streak and they have now won 12 of their last 13 games after a 5-6 start.

Buford opened the game with four runs in the first inning, added three more in the second, and one in the third to put the game out of reach.

Freshman Bria Bush (4-2) tossed a complete-game no-hitter with seven strikeouts to earn the win.

Senior Madyson Wynegar had a triple and two RBI to lead a seven-hit attcak for Buford. Kodi Ricketson had two hits, one RBI, and two runs while Bailey Burnette had a double and one RBI for the Lady Wolves.

Aly Hicks had one hit and one RBI for Buford.
