JEFFERSON -- Jackson County ran its win streak to nine afteran 8-0 win over Elbert County Tuesday night in Region 8B-AA action.
Senior Haley Shinall paced the Lady Panthers (17-3, 8-1 in subregion) with two hits and two runs scored. Mason Garland went had two hits and one RBI for Jackson County. Jessica Baker added one hit and one RBI.
Shinall earned the win pitching five shutout innings striking out 10 and allowing just one hit.
The Lady Panthers next will play in the Brookwood Invitational over the weekend and will play Whitewater, Kennesaw Mountain, and South Gwinnett.
