Volleyball: East Hall falls to Class AAAA teams

MT. AIRY -- The East Hall girls volleyball dropped a pair of matches TUesday to Class AAAA teams in a tri-match at Habersham Central.

The Lady Vikings fell in the first match to host Habersham Central 25-14, 25-22 and then lost to Rockdale County 25-11, 25-13.

The losses dropped East Hall (19-20) below .500 for the first time this season.

Brittney Cambell paced the Lady Vikings with 11 assists and three digs and Kara Hix added six kills and three digs. Emily Hoggard had three kills, one dig and three blocks, Tarryn Long had two aces, four kills, and three digs, Latisha Shelton had one kill and seven digs, and Kaleigh Duckworth added one dig and one assist for East Hall.

East Hall will take a week off before returning next Thursday to play host to Lakeview Academy and Chestatee. The match against Lakeview Academy will determine second and third place in the 8-AA North subregion going into the region tournament.
